Watch Kristen Stewart Absolutely Nail the Role of Princess Diana in the Trailer for Spencer

Kristen Stewart has well and truly transformed into the late Princess Diana for the new movie, Spencer.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the trailer of the biopic to drop, and it’s finally here.

In it, the Twilight star is seen with Diana’s signature blonde hairstyle, as she attempts to navigate through royal life.

Spencer — Diana’s maiden name — is based on events that occurred in 1992 at Sandringham Estate around the holiday season.

The movie takes place over three days: Christmas Eve, Christmas and Boxing Day, which is exactly when the Princess realised her marriage to Prince Charles was over.

Prince Charles, who is played by Jack Farthing, also made an appearance.

It seems as if Kristen Stewart has an Oscar nod heading her way, after absolutely nailing the soft-spoken tone Diana was famous for.

The movie, which is directed by Pablo Larrain, will not show the Princess’s tragic death, but will instead focus on the struggles she faced during her marriage to Charles.

Kristen previously told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel about the challenges she faced playing such a prominent figure.

She said: “It’s hard not to feel protective over her. She was so young.

“Everyone’s perspective is different, and there’s no way to get everything right; what is fact in relation to personal experience.”
