“The Bachelor” family is growing! Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska, who became fan favourites in the 2020 season, are expecting their very first child together.
The couple, known for their adventurous spirits and unwavering love, shared the news in a joint Instagram post. They posted a cute video together at the beach, with Irena’s glowing baby bump taking centre stage.
“2023 has been a year of surprises, and now Locky and I are thrilled to share the biggest surprise of our lives —anticipating a new member in our family ♥️,” Irena captioned the post.
“As we revel in our happiness, we’re deeply sensitive to those who face the trials of infertility or have suffered loss. Having navigated the rollercoaster of emotions ourselves, we extend our hands and hearts to those on a similar path. In the midst of life’s storms, may you find your rainbow soon ?.”
The couple’s path to parenthood hasn’t been an easy one. After their dramatic journey on “The Bachelor” came to a close in 2020, the couple faced their first heartbreak with a miscarriage.
“During our first few months together, I, unfortunately, suffered a miscarriage. But Locky was my absolute rock, and having his support made me love him even more,” Irena previously told WHO.
Fast forward to 2023, after tying the knot in March, the couple still held onto their dream of growing their family.
Then, in a heartbreaking twist, they faced another round of adversity. In an emotional interview with 7Life, Irena shared, “We’ve been trying to get pregnant and try to start our family, and we were absolutely over the moon when we found out we were pregnant last month. Unfortunately, a week later, we suffered a miscarriage, and… it was emotional, hard, and obviously heartbreaking.”
Despite these challenges, Locky and Irena’s love story continues to inspire. With the promise of their first child arriving in early 2024, they’re writing the next exciting chapter in their incredible journey, filled with hope, resilience, and unwavering support from their adoring fans.
