Love Island Australia: Jordan’s Mullet Isn’t Going Anywhere

Love Island Australia is only days away, and we’re gearing up for love triangles, drama and spicy romance, all set at a stunning villa in Mallorca, Spain.

Love Island might not be known for its long-lasting relationships, but surely the Spanish backdrop will add some extra heat!?

Hosted by Sophie Monk, the reality series will be airing exclusively on Channel 9’s streaming platform, 9Now. They’ve been dropping tidbits about the upcoming season in the lead up — including who our Islanders will be this season.

One of the Islanders looking for lasting love this year is 25-year-old FIFO electrician Jordan Dowsett, who recently moved to the Gold Coast.

Now that Jordan has made the move to the GC, he hasn’t looked back — and neither has his mullet, which he’s not chopping off for any gal.

Jordan has only been in one relationship in his life.

“She was my high school sweetheart,” he says in a press statement. “We dated ever since high school.”

“There was a bit of pressure from everyone to stay together. It was massive for us to break up. It was a heartbreak I never want to do again, but at the end of the day; it was the best thing for me.”

Having been so young when he first fell in love, Jordan lost himself in that relationship. But now, he feels like the best version of himself and he’s ready to share that with someone now.

“I’ve done a lot of self growth,” he says. “I needed to move out of the country town I was living in after the breakup. I saw potential for myself in moving to the Gold Coast, from career to personal growth.

“I love the sun and the water. It’s the best, I love it. The Gold Coast is the perfect spot.”
