Love Island Australia is only days away, and we’re gearing up for love triangles, drama and spicy romance, all set at a stunning villa in Mallorca, Spain.

Love Island might not be known for its long-lasting relationships, but surely the Spanish backdrop will add some extra heat!?

Hosted by Sophie Monk, the reality series will be airing exclusively on Channel 9’s streaming platform, 9Now. They’ve been dropping tidbits about the upcoming season in the lead up — including who our Islanders will be this season.

One of the Islanders looking for lasting love this year is 22-year-old security guard and TikTok Rapper Tak Chipangura, from Brisbane.

At 22, Tak has already achieved and done so much with his life.

Born in Zimbabwe, he emigrated to Australia with his nurse-trained parents as a young boy.

He grew up in Wagga Wagga, where he became a champion footballer, and throughout his footy career, he’s been selected for youth AFL games for both the Brisbane Lions and Greater Western Sydney.

However, he fell out of love with the sport and gave up on a professional career within the industry.

“I think once you play a sport and do something for a long time… it gets to a point it’s like your job and not just for fun, you can lose interest and that’s what happened to me,” he said in a press statement.

Just to add another layer to his already-impressive resume, Tak studying to be a helicopter pilot for the Australian Army. But now, in his budding music career as a TikTok rapper under the name of ‘Bravo 2 Real’, Tak feels as though he’s found his calling.

“My love of music has always been there. I did choir, I did hip hop, I did dance as a kid. I did musicals, I learnt the violin and the guitar,” he says.

After taking a break from music in his late-teen years, the 2017 death of his cousin sparked up his passion and creativity once more, pushing him to write a song for his memorial.

“I really got stuck into my music again and fell back in love with it, because you can express everything through music. It is a really good way of dealing with stuff that is going on in every day life.”

Will Tak be able to serenade his way through to true love?
