MAFS’ Viewers Fume at Alyssa’s ‘Toxic’ Behaviour

“Married At First Sight” viewers aren’t happy with Alyssa after her antics towards Duncan at the final dinner party on Wednesday night.

Things haven’t been great for the pair. Duncan broke down in tears following a disagreement with Alyssa after the Partner Swap Challenge. Alyssa’s hasty response at the final commitment ceremony. And things hitting breaking point during Homestays Week.

The honesty box returned with a vengeance at the dinner table, which saw the couple unravel in front of the whole group. When asked how he felt about her, Duncan started listing off positive things. However, it wasn’t long before cut him down.

“I feel warm, I feel close,” he said. “I love how you make me feel when it’s good.”

“When it’s good. Which is what, 56 per cent of the time?” she fired back.

Feeling defeated, Duncan responded: “Even just then, I’m just describing some things about how I like about you and you just cut me down.”

Duncan, in the most polite way ever, tried to express his concerns about the relationship.

“My biggest concern is the argument that we’ve had on this experiment, the things we haven’t seen eye-to-eye on would continue to happen in the real world,” he continued.

“Like what,” Alyssa snarked. “I need you to be really specific here. Stuff like talking really high level, you need to be real specific.”

Duncan was basically pushed into a corner and told he had “very high expectations” and needed to put himself in her shoes “for once”. Has he not been doing this the whole time already?

Anyway, the whole ordeal caused quite a stir online, with many viewers appalled by her behaviour towards Duncan. Some described her as being a “hypocrite” and “toxic”, while others wanted her booted off the show.
