“MAFS” Star Dean Wells and “Beauty and the Geek’s” Aimee Woolley are Engaged!

Former “MAFS” groom Dean Wells and “Beauty and the Geek” star Aimee Woolley have taken their relationship to the next level — they’re engaged!

Dean, 45, and Aimee, 24, shared their happy news, releasing photos of the pair getting engaged. The special moment took place at Birubi Beach in NSW. In front of two camels, the Season 5 groom got down on one knee and presented Aimee with a solitaire diamond ring.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Wells said he had renewed faith in love after meeting Aimee.

“’MAFS’ is different for everyone but for me it was a total stitch up and left me with a bitter taste about marriage. I was a bit scarred from the experience but when I met Aimee she renewed my faith in real, honest, true love,” he admitted.

“She is the sweetest, funniest, craziest and most genuine person I have ever met. We dived in head first and moved in together after just a few weeks and the next natural step was to propose.”

“…I Found My Bad Boy”

Tasmanian-born Aimee admitted that she was always attracted to “bad boys”, and so Dean was the perfect man for her. 

And for the camels? Well, the couple explained that it was a cheeky nod to one of their most treasured memories.

“Every year our church in Manly does a camel parade around the corso and it was one of the first experiences we shared together when she moved to Sydney from Tasmania,” Wells explained.

The pair went public in September 2022 after they walked the red carpet at Maxim Magazine’s 11th birthday party in Sydney.  It’s understood the couple initially met in 2020 but Covid lockdowns kept them apart.

Dean is one of the most controversial grooms to have appeared on “MAFS”. During Season 5, he partnered with Tracey Jewel. As their relationship was evolving, he found himself entangled in a cheating scandal with another bride, Davina Rankin.

Meanwhile, Aimee appeared on Channel 9’s “Beauty and the Geek” in 2022. On the show, she teamed up with martial arts expert Jayden Darcy. While the pair did not strike up a romantic connection, they remain friends.
