The Netflix adaptation of “The Gray Man” is finally bringing Mark Greaney’s bestselling thriller series to the screen 13 years after the first novel was published in 2009. Greaney’s spy thrillers follow the adventures of a globetrotting former CIA operative turned assassin for hire as he navigates betrayals, international conspiracies, and much more. The movie is the first in a hoped-for franchise, with an ending that definitely leaves the door open to continue adapting more novels in the series.

The Gray Man Series in Order
Greaney’s signature series is The Gray Man, a thriller series about Court Gentry, an ex-CIA agent who now works as one of the world’s most skilled assassins. When he learns that he’s been betrayed and marked for death himself, he must evade capture, rescue his handler, navigate international intrigue, and figure out who, if anyone, he can still trust. Mark Greaney's Tom Clancy Books
Greaney began co-writing with iconic author Tom Clancy near the end of Clancy’s life. After Clancy’s death in 2013, Greaney took over writing some of Clancy’s titles, including the Jack Ryan spy thriller series. He wrote or co-wrote a total of seven novels under the Clancy banner.
