New MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo has caused a bit of an online stir since the season premiered on Monday night, for his good looks and kind demeanour. The Scottish-born chef, owner of Orana restaurant in Adelaide, and founder of not-for-profit, the Orana Foundation, has already garnered some new, somewhat thirsty fans.
Jock told POPSUGAR Australia that while he was briefed this morning on the online reaction to Monday's premiere, saying he definitely didn't notice it at the time. "God no, I'm in my 40s!" Asked how he feels about becoming people's self-isolation crush, he continued: "It's so embarrassing. I actually don't know where to look right now."
Still, he's proud of having the "opportunity to take MasterChef Australia to the next level", alongside his fellow judges, Andy Allen and Melissa Leong. "We are absolutely loving being a part of it."
The hot chef also shared the meal he would cook to impress someone: "I'm a simple guy, so my go-to dish is cacio e pepe. Simple to make, very difficult to perfect."
To cater to those aforementioned thirsty fans, we've pulled together some pictures of Jock looking particularly delicious (sorry, not sorry!) — and if you're looking for a cacio e pepe recipe, we've got you there too.
