Mike and Sulley Are Back for More Laughs in the Monsters, Inc. Spin-off Series But Where’s Boo?

Monsters at Work
Disney/Pixar

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 7, 2021, because the Monsters, Inc. gang are back for more fun, laughs and scares in a new series.

Monsters at Work picks up the day after the events of 2001’s Monsters, Inc. and brings beloved characters Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan’s (John Goodman) to the small-screen along with returning favourites John Ratzenberger as Yeti, Jennifer Tilly as Celia Mae, and Bob Peterson as Roze (Roz’s twin, also originally voiced by Peterson).

Meanwhile, newcomers include Henry Winkler as Fritz, Tylor’s boss, Lucas Neff as Duncan, Mindy Kaling as Val Little, and Alanna Ubach as Cutter.

According to a press release from Disney+, Monsters At Work is set the day after the events of Monsters, Inc. and follows the workers involved in harvesting laughter to power Monstropolis. Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman) recently graduated from Monsters University, and his plans to become the best Scarer at Monsters, Incorporated, are dashed when he realises that laughter is the name of the game rather than screams.

So far, there is no word as to whether Boo (Mary Gibbs) will be making an appearance but it seems the series will have more than enough lovable new faces to make up for it.

Check out the trailer below and make sure your Disney+ subscription is all set up so you won’t have to miss an episode.

Monsters at Work debuts on Disney+ on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
