The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards nominees have been revealed. On July 26, the network unveiled this year’s crop of artists who have dominated both the charts and our music libraries with some of their biggest hits. Leading the pack are Lil Nas X, Kendrick Lamar, and Jack Harlow, all of who are tied with seven total nods each, with Harry Styles and Doja Cat trailing behind with six apiece.

The artist of the year category is stacked with big names like Bad Bunny, Drake, Ed Sheeran, and Lizzo, so it’ll surely be a battle for whoever snags the title this year. Meanwhile, song of the year has some stiff competition with entries from Adele, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber and The Kid Laroi, and Elton John and Dua Lipa up for the win.

This year’s MTV VMAs ceremony returns to the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, which housed the award show back in 2019. A host for the event has yet to be announced, but whoever steps up to the plate will have to top Doja Cat’s turn as emcee from last year. The show airs on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 8 p.m. ET. Read ahead to check out all the 2022 nominees.
