PS: What’s your favourite Disney movie and who’s your favourite Disney princess?
Diana: I think I can most relate to Belle from Beauty and the Beast, because she’s a quiet, normal girl, but she finds true love in the end, so that’s one of my favourite movies. But I also love The Little Mermaid and always wanted to be a mermaid, but that’s not going to happen [laughs].
PS: What is your dating history like?
Diana: Uh, well, not very successful, that’s for sure. I definitely have not found my Prince Charming. I’ve been with a few guys here and there, but I definitely haven’t found The One with any of them, so I’m really still looking. I am really open to finding it, so hopefully I do!
PS: How do you feel about competing against 23 other girls, and knowing Blake is getting intimate with these girls?
Diana: Yeah, it’s definitely something I didn’t really think about coming into it. I was like, ‘Everyone’s gonna be so nice,’ but after a while it just hit me, like, ‘Oh my gosh, there’s 23 other girls. Oh no!’ We’re actually dating the one guy. It’s a bit weird [laughs]. And to have it happen in front of your face. Like I’m sure it happens in real life, but not when you know about it.
PS: Exactly, and in real life you don’t have to live with the girl the guy you’re dating is also dating.
Diana: Yeah! It’s like, “Oh cool, that’s awesome, great date, thanks.”
PS: Who do you see as your biggest threat?
Diana: My biggest threat? Oh, I don’t even know. I think it’s pretty much all the girls, and it’s really hard to pick because everyone is so different. There isn’t exactly another Diana in the house, everyone’s really unique, so I think pretty much everyone is a threat.
PS: How long did it take you to get used to the cameras?
Diana: At the start I didn’t notice them, but I think a got a bit more . . . I noticed them more, and I was like, ‘Oh no, this is actually on camera,’ and then I started to freak out even more as it got further.
PS: Do you think being aware of the camera affected your behaviour or your decisions at all?
Diana: Oh, I’m not sure if it affected my behaviour, but I guess more so the fact that we have not so much time to spend with the bachelor, you definitely have to make that count, so I had to make sure I made a good impression each time I spoke to him.
PS: Do you want to get married soon?
Diana: I definitely wanna get married soon! My older sister, she is eight years older, but she got married when she was 25, so I was like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t even have a boyfriend at this stage. She’s gonna judge me.’ [Laughs] I think I have to get married soon.
PS: Are you planning to watch the show, and if so, how will you watch it?
Diana: I’m planning on watching the show, yes, but I definitely think that a wine will be involved [laughs], to calm my nerves. So yeah, I’ll be watching it with wine.
The Bachelor premieres on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on Network Ten.
