PS: And how do you spend the big day? You said before it's just family and you all have the day off . . . so you just relax together?
BH: Yep, definitely with the family, and we like to be in Australia. And just having a big barbecue!
PS: Do you go cold meats, a big roast or seafood?
BH: Yeah, a little bit of seafood — but really just a barbecue! Sometimes we have the ham — that reminds me of when I was a little girl, my grandfather would always provide the ham [laughs]. We don't make it too stressful. I know a lot of people try to feed all their family members and drive from house to house, and they eat so much — but we like to keep it simple. So we'll celebrate Christmas with one family one year, and then we do it with the other family on just a different day. The main thing is just getting together, whether it's on Christmas day or not.
PS: Do you have a favourite Christmas carol?
BH: I love to crank up "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. I know that one now, I can sing along! I really enjoy Human Nature's Christmas album as well — all the harmonies and all the good Christmas songs they've chosen. But "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is such an upbeat, happy song.
