All the Women Justin Long Dated Before Finding Love With Kate Bosworth

Long’s first high-profile romance started in 2005, when he began dating his “Accepted” costar, per Us Weekly. In the film, Long starred as Bartleby Gaines, while Doubleday played the role of Gwynn. Throughout their relationship, the pair attended various red carpet events, such as the premieres of “Knocked Up” and “Herbie: Fully Loaded.”

The exact dates of Long’s relationship with Maggie Q – whom Long starred alongside in “Live Free and Die Hard” – are unknown, though they were linked together in 2007.

Speaking to News.com.au in December 2022, Long shared that he and Maggie are still on good terms despite things not working out romantically for them. “My ex Maggie came for Thanksgiving, and we’re also really close,” Long said. “When you’re dating somebody like that, especially for that amount of time, I find you get to know the families and life is so short.”

Long added of other relationships: “I don’t make that many connections, those kinds of connections so I really like the idea of being able to maintain those connections and I find it kind of sad when that can’t happen.”

At one point in time, Long and Barrymore were one of Hollywood’s hottest couples. They dated on and off from 2007 to 2010. While discussing their romance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in September 2022, Barrymore said Long was “the best,” adding, “We had so much fun but we were more hedonistic. A little more immature. We would get together, we would break up. It was chaos. It was hella fun.”

“We dated for many years, I was very much in love with Justin, you know why? Because he’s funny,” Barrymore said of her love for Long.

In response, Long said: “Now I feel like I have to be funny to live up to the hype. It was so flattering. You’re the funny one. You are one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. We had a lot of laughs. We laughed all the time.”

Long and Mara first turned heads when they were spotted attending “Jesus Christ Superstar” on Broadway in June 2012, according to Us Weekly. Weeks later, they were seen celebrating Long’s birthday together, but by the fall of that year, they had gone their separate ways.

Unlike Long’s other high-profile relationships, he and Mara never posed together for photos, making it unclear exactly when the two started dating and split.

Us Weekly first reported in August 2013 that Long and Seyfried were seeing each other. “Justin is super private about his relationships, [so] I’m not positive how they exactly met, but they’ve known each other for awhile, when they were seeing other people,” a source shared with the publication at the time. “They recently started hanging out more, going on date-like activities. They’re both busy … but they’re seeing where it goes.”

Like his relationship with Barrymore, he and Seyfried had a “similar sense of humor,” a second source added.

In May 2015, Seyfried spoke to Vogue about how Instagram first connected her and Long. “I followed him on Instagram,” she said. “And I thought something he said was really funny. It was a beautiful picture of a snail, and the caption said, ‘F-king MOOOOOOOOVE.’ It made me laugh out loud, so I texted him.”

During their time together, Long and Seyfried stepped out publicly together on numerous occasions until they split in the fall of September 2015. According to Us Weekly, Long was “really heartbroken” over the breakup.

Long and Bosworth were first linked back in May 2021 after they wrapped filming for their 2022 horror movie, “House of Darkness.” They announced their engagement in April 2022 in two sweet Instagram posts.

Bosworth, meanwhile, captioned her announcement: “These things are funny to announce. How to do this right? He’s going the distance? I’ve got a Blue Crush? He’s just THAT into me? I’ve won a date with…??? Ok you get it!”

In May 2023, Long revealed he and Bosworth had gotten married. “I was there while I was like really falling in love with my now-wife,” he told guest Kyra Sedgwick on his “Life Is Short” podcast, confirming their marriage. “And she came to visit, and I had never been comfortable with . . . set visits, I was never crazy about. I liked separating the relationship, but I loved having her there, and we just had the most magical time.”

“It helped me having her there,” he gushed. “She’d help me with scenes. It was the best.”
