If you’ve been following the Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti love train since day one, then you know they’re one of the most underrated couples in Hollywood, and they like keeping fans on their toes. Remember when the comedic pair eloped in 2016 and their only witness was their cute dog?

In February 2017, the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star casually announced she and Peele were expecting their first child together. Peretti continued to churn out hilarious pregnancy content up until baby Beaumont Gino Peele’s arrival, which then turned into the actress documenting her breastfeeding journey during award season. Like many high-profile couples in the entertainment biz, Peele and Peretti keep their son out of the spotlight – including off social media – and rarely talk about him in interviews, either. Read on to see what they have shared about their little one.

In February 2017, Peretti announced she was pregnant via Instagram with a baby-bump selfie captioned, “Beyonce schmonce,” a wink to Queen Bey’s then-recent buzzy pregnancy announcement. In true Peele and Peretti fashion, they did their best to keep the baby news hush-hush, but Peele told People, “it got to the point where hiding it really wasn’t an option.” He continued, “We’ve gotten such a warm reaction and people, I think correctly, are already observing that this child will be comedy gold.”

The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Beaumont Gino Peele, on July 1, 2017, according to E! News. Nearly a year into his new role as a dad, Peele described his days with Beaumont as “a joy.” “You just get a little bit more of the person. You meet a little bit more of the person. Seeing that smile or recognition is everything,” the funnyman told People.
