Romy and Cat The Bachelor Australia Interview
Cat and Romy Have Something to Say About Being Painted As the 'Mean Girls'

![PS: You mentioned being upset for a number of reasons. Was leaving Nick one of them or did that not phase you?
Cat: Yeah, it did upset me at the time. I felt like he didn't give me a proper go and also I think that was because of the role I was playing [the mean girl]. I was never going to get that opportunity anyway, I kind of got stitched up with my time with him.
PS: Did you at least enjoy your time in the mansion?
Cat: I had the time of my life, I had so much fun.
PS: It looked as if you enjoyed spending time with each other more than with Nick.
Alisha: (laughs) yeah, true!
Romy: Cat didn't see the guy.
Cat: Yeah, well, I mean, I went on there to challenge myself and have a new experience and I came out of it with some lifelong friends and we have a laugh. We formed awesome relationships with the crew and we all just became really good mates, it was like a little holiday in a nice little mansion. So, I really enjoyed it but it was a shame how everything turned out!
Romy: There were definitely challenging moments [for me]. I found it pretty tough to be honest. Again, just the girls were amazing. We had so much fun.
Alisha: We had lots of fun!
Romy: But it gets quite boring! You only see the guy once a fortnight, so the producers become your best mates and we would have little convos with them about what would come up at a cocktail party. It was fun but it also gets a little bit tedious.
Alisha: Also, we weren't born yesterday. From pretty early on I had an indicator that I wasn't going to be one of the final girls. It wasn't necessarily because I didn't think me and Nick didn't vibe, I just didn't really think I was getting any real substantial opportunities with him. I was feeling very insecure in the house. I was thinking, "F**k, why aren't I getting a single date?", "Is he not into me?", "Am I ugly?".
Cat: You see me get a little bit upset about Brooke's third date (in episode 8) and it was nothing towards her at all, it was just that I had been in there filming for 6 or 7 weeks and it's like, why am I wasting my time sitting here if he has already chosen who he wants to be with or if he has already formed better connections with other people. I may as well leave. So I think that definitely tests how you really feel about yourself.
Alisha: Absolutely!
PS: What was your reaction to the intruders coming into the mansion?
Alisha: I get intimidated very easily.
Cat: I wasn't bothered at al. I expected it and thought it was bound to happen but as soon as I saw them I wasn't too bothered at all.
Romy: Yeah, I wasn't bothered.
Alisha: I thought they were going to be Instagram models. Not that they're not beautiful, but I was expecting something more.
PS: You all spoke a lot about girls being fake. Who was the fakest of the girls?
Cat: Tenille!
Romy: Tenille!
Alisha: Definitely Tenille!
Romy: No honestly, Vanessa Sunshine and Tenille. Like two totally different people from what you see on TV and what they were like in the house.
Cat: Tenille would yell at people, kick people out of the kitchen, hide food from people.
Alisha: Label food!
Romy: If you would leave your runners at the front door she would scream, "WHOSE ARE THESE!". She was very aggressive in her approach to a lot of people and a lot of people in the house actually didn't like her.
PS: And who was the most genuine?
Romy: Brooke.
Cat: Brooke, yep. She my pick for the winner!
Romy: I don't think she will win. I just think the other girls have a game plan that might be stronger than hers.
Alisha: I actually think she is too good for Nick.
Romy: Me too.
Cat: Yeah, me too. Sorry, but yeah.
Romy: I think Brittany or Sophie. [will win] PS: You mentioned being upset for a number of reasons. Was leaving Nick one of them or did that not phase you?
