The last Mercury retrograde of the year officially finishes up on October 18 — although, don’t forget the retroshade period! — and we can safely say that we can’t wait to wave goodbye to this chaotic retrograde. Just days after retrograde ends, the full moon will take place in Aries on October 21, so you don’t have long before the next astrological event makes itself known.

This full moon occurs when the sun is in Libra and the moon is in Aries, which is sure to fire up emotions. According to the AstroTwins, the Mars-Pluto square happening on October 23 will also pour “kerosene on those inflamed feelings, bringing on a battle of wills right as the sun slides into Scorpio. Life will intensify as momentum picks up.”

This full moon is a good reminder to find a comfortable balance between meeting your own needs as well as those of the people around you. With Aries representing the self and Libra all about the other, this is the time to work on balancing both of these dualities to find a happy medium.

According to Cafe Astrology, “neglecting either end of the Aries-Libra axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, we find a balance between the two energies, and this is what the full moon invites us to do.”

In fact, this full moon is all about emotional declarations. Whatever has been building up inside you over the previous weeks is due to make itself known, as the cosmos wants you to let it out. “Over the upcoming weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us,” says Cafe Astrology. “For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.”

While your feelings might still be scattered post-retrograde and thanks to the influence of the full moon, try to roll with it as best you can and keep an eye on your close relationships as well as your relationship with yourself. Consider how you can honour these relationships over the coming weeks, to make yourself and your loved ones feel appreciated. And, don’t bottle up how you’re feeling. Let it out and you’ll feel much lighter.
