Prince Harry was one of the guests of honor at BetterUp’s Uplift summit in San Francisco, CA, this week. The Duke of Sussex – who serves as the chief impact officer of the wellness startup that provides professional coaching and mental health advice – took the stage alongside BetterUp CEO Alexi Robichaux on both Tuesday and Wednesday, answering questions from the audience that covered everything from what drives his purpose to how coaching has impacted his life and the importance of women in leadership roles, per a press release.

When discussing what drives his purpose, according to People, Harry said, “For me, personally, I get so much out of helping other people. To be in the service of others is what drives me, what gets me out of bed every day. Then you have kids.” The duke added, “Kids ground you.”

Per People, Harry also told the crowd that members of the Invictus Games community and his and wife Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation team use BetterUp. “It’s the quickest access to mental health coaching,” Harry said. Other guest speakers included Issa Rae, David Chang, Robin Arzón, and more.

The father of two’s latest appearance comes just days after he and Markle celebrated their 1-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet’s christening at their home in Montecito, CA. The intimate affair brought out Lili’s grandmother, Doria Ragland, as well as her godfather, Tyler Perry. However, King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate were not in attendance, despite reportedly being invited. A spokesperson for the couple told People that “Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3, by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev. John Taylor.”

The official statement also marked the first time Harry and Markle have publicly referred to their daughter as a princess. She and her 3-year-old brother, Archie, were given the royal titles of princess and prince when their grandfather, King Charles III, became monarch following Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022. Charles’s coronation is set to take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. Harry and Markle have been invited, though their attendance still remains unclear.
