PSA: These Are the Juiciest Australian Reality TV Shows Coming in 2021

Beauty and the Geek
Channel 7

There’s nothing quite like winding down at the end of the day with a glass of wine in the company of your favourite reality TV show. And lucky for us, some of the most binge-worthy series will be returning to our screens in 2021.

From seasonal favourites like Married at First Sight (which is already bringing the drama) The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Love Island and Farmer Wants a Wife to a slew of new (and improved) shows including The Celebrity Apprentice and Beauty and the Geek, there will certainly be no shortage of juicy storylines.

Here are all the reality TV shows that are coming in 2021:

Beauty and the Geek

Channel 9

The last time Beauty and the Geek (originally created by Ashton Kutcher) graced our screens was in 2014 when Channel 7 star, James Tobin, took 16 singletons through their paces.

Seven years later, the show has a whole new look and a brand new (and newly engaged) host. Love Island star Sophie Monk.

The reality star will lead a group of “Beauties” (who mainly rely on their good looks and bubbly personalities) and “Geeks” (people who rely on intellect and less so on their social abilities) who pair up to compete in challenges to survive episodic elimination.

It was probably the best announcement of 2020, to be honest.

Celebrity Apprentice Australia

Channel 9

It’s been six years since the last season and now Celebrity Apprentice Australia is returning in 2021 on Channel 9.

Promising to have the biggest shake-up the series has ever seen, new businessman, Lord Alan Sugar, along with his trusty advisers will put two teams of celebrities to the test in the boardroom.

In each episode, two teams of Australia’s biggest names will take on an epic task, using their business savvy, creativity and charm while reaching into their little black book of contacts to win cash for their chosen charities.

Celebrities announced so far include former MAFS star Martha Kalifatidis, celebrity trainer Michelle Bridges, Lisa and Jess Origliasso from The Veronicas and Survivor star, David Genat.

Farmer Wants a Wife

Channel 7

Farmer Wants a Wife was a breakout success for Channel 7 in 2020, and it’s no wonder long-time fans were tuning back in to see the Aussie farmers find love and in 2021. The Seven Network is bringing back another season of the boot-scootin’ romance series with a whole new crop of farmers looking for that someone special.

Worldwide, there are currently 99 marriages and 225 beautiful farmer babies as a result of the series. Will this new cast add to the statistics? We sure hope so!

MasterChef Australia

Network Ten

Don’t judge us when we say that MasterChef is juicy! The time pressure, the backstories and of course, the delicious cook is a recipe for epic TV.

In 2020, MasterChef: Back to Win warmed the hearts of Aussies everywhere. With brand new judges Jock Zonfrillo, Andy Allen and Melissa Leong, the series was the perfect antidote to the dumpster fire that was 2020.

More food magic in the Masterchef kitchen will be made just after Easter when a whole bunch of new aspiring chefs take to their benches. Back to the original format of the show, the series will showcase ordinary people, extraordinary food”.
