Author Sarah Wilson Announces Australian Tour Dates for 2021: "We Will Chat Big, Soulful Stuff Together"
The self-help book, which was released on August 25, encourages people to adopt healthy practices to help them reconnect with each other and what's really important in life — from getting in touch with nature to being an activist to reading more poetry — drawing on the knowledge of experts from around the world.
In Conversation With . . . Sarah Wilson — The Wild and Precious Tour will visit capital cities and regional centres, starting on January 30 in Dubbo and finishing on February 22 in Melbourne. Participants in regional towns will also be able to go hiking with Sarah, with Sarah promoting areas like Dubbo, Byron Bay and Wollongong as destinations.
On Instagram, Sarah wrote that she was "stoked" to be heading on tour: "We will chat big, soulful stuff together, a giant #thisonewildandpreciouslife bookclub geared at getting connected as a nation."
The author of two New York Times bestsellers, I Quit Sugar and First, We Make the Beast Beautiful, promises a night of bookclub-style "Big Conversations", on subjects like COVID-19, climate change and people's growing disconnection from one another. She then intends to offer concrete solutions to that sense of distance, drawing on disciplines like philosophy, science and spirituality.
"I spent three years talking with experts around the world to find a vibrant, hopeful path forward," the mental health advocate and former editor of Cosmopolitan said. "Now I want to have that chat with readers."
Tickets cost about $60, and can be purchased here, with pre-sales available now, and general on-sale starting September 1.
