What Happens to Otis in Sex Education Season 2?
Otis goes through some major ups and downs throughout season two, starting with him rejecting Maeve after she confesses her feeling for him. He dates Ola – who makes him cut off Maeve – but regrets his choice, especially after Ola breaks up with him. After getting drunk at a party and admitting he always liked Maeve and never really was into Ola, Otis eventually wakes up hungover and realises he lost his virginity to Ruby. His mother discovers his clandestine “therapy clinic” for fellow students, even though he lies to her about it. At the end of the season, Otis leaves Maeve a voicemail to apologise and tell her he loves her, but Isaac listens to the message and deletes it before Maeve ever knows about it.
What Happens to Jean in Sex Education Season 2?
Jean breaks her no-commitment streak in season two and starts a real relationship with Jakob, who also happens to be Ola’s father. It’s not all smooth sailing, though. Not only does Jean eventually lose her job after Principal Groff leaks her therapy-session notes all over the school, but she also messes up her relationship when she kisses Otis’s father. To top it all off, Jean finds out she’s pregnant when she goes to the doctor for what she initially suspects are menopausal symptoms.
What Happens to Maeve in Sex Education Season 2?
Maeve goes through a lot in the second season. She starts off getting her heart broken when Otis rejects her, but it doesn’t end there. Her estranged mother, a recovering addict, reaches out and tries to reconnect, but it’s not long before Maeve discovers that her mother is using again. With no other options left, Maeve reports her mother so that her half-sister doesn’t have to suffer the consequences. Maeve gets a new friend and possible love interest in Isaac, but he deletes Otis’s voicemail in which he admits his feelings for her. Isaac says nothing to Maeve about this, leaving her in the dark about the truth.
What Happens to Eric in Sex Education Season 2?
Eric winds up in a love triangle throughout season two. He connects immediately with Rahim, the cute new student, and they begin a relationship. However, he’s still interested in Adam, who has been sent off to boarding school at the beginning of the season, so the two begin to secretly meet up. At first, he chooses Rahim, telling Adam he can’t be someone’s secret. But when Adam makes a public declaration, Eric decides to give a relationship with Adam a real chance.
What Happens to Aimee in Sex Education Season 2?
Aimee’s storyline is one of the most heartbreaking – and sadly realistic – of the season. After a stranger assaults her on a bus, she struggles to deal with her trauma or even acknowledge it for what it is. She starts walking everywhere, unable to return to the scene of this horrible event. In the end, though, all of the girls get on the bus with her after sharing their own experiences with harassment and assault. Feeling supported, Aimee is able to begin healing from her trauma.
What Happens to Jackson in Sex Education Season 2?
Jackson gets a lot more character development in season two, and we couldn’t have been happier about it! He starts off by purposely injuring himself so he can escape the pressures of being the school’s swim star and instead winds up cast as Romeo in the school play. With the help and support of his tutor-turned-pal Viv, Jackson really starts to explore who he is outside of being a jock, winding up with a new hobby and a new path forward.
What Happens to Ola in Sex Education Season 2?
Ola starts out the season as Otis’s new girlfriend, but things are rough going from the start for the would-be lovebirds. She gives Otis an ultimatum: she’ll only date him if he cuts off Maeve entirely. Although he agrees, it’s clear he’s not over Maeve, and it turns out, Ola discovers a different romantic path that doesn’t include Otis. Ola breaks up with him, realising she’s actually pansexual and crushing on Lily. By the end of the season, Ola and Lily end up in an adorable and supportive relationship.
What Happens to Adam in Sex Education Season 2?
The former bully has a tough road in season two. Having been sent off to military school by his overbearing father, he’s soon expelled when he’s framed by his bunkmates for keeping a stash of marijuana. After returning home, Adam starts spending time with Eric, while still trying to figure out his sexuality. Adam realises he’s bisexual and very attracted to Eric, but Eric turns him down, explaining that he doesn’t want to be with someone he can’t be with in public. Adam winds up making a big gesture at the end of the season, interrupting the school play to ask Eric, publicly, to hold his hand. At the end of season two, Eric chooses Adam over Rahim.
What Happens to Lily in Sex Education Season 2?
Lily’s artistic masterpiece becomes one of the major overarching plot points of season two, tying together the arcs of several characters. She’s in charge of the school play, which turns into a very unusual musical production of Romeo and Juliet. By the end of the season, Lily has found love, too, as she and Ola embark on a new relationship and work through the bumps in the road together.
