French actor Tahar Rahim is having quite the year. If you’re into international films, you may know him from his breakout role as Malik El Djebena in the 2009 movie A Prophet. Now, in 2021, he’s making waves with Amazon Prime Video’s The Mauritanian as Mohamedou Ould Salahi, a part that has garnered him much critical acclaim as well as a nomination for best actor at the Golden Globes. Netflix viewers can also catch him in The Serpent as the serial killer Charles Sobhraj – Tahar looks quite different beneath that ’70s shag and those unsettling aviators as the terrifying French gem dealer. But in real life, he’s actually quite the handsome fellow who can often be spotted on the red carpet in a dapper ensemble. Whether or not you’re done binging his latest hits, look ahead to behold Tahar’s IRL looks for yourself!
