It’s often said that millennials are multi-hyphenates — “slashies” is another word used to describe the generation — and Big Brother‘s Sid Pattni lives up to the name.

Not only is Sid a high school art teacher, he’s also a visual artist, multi-instrumentalist (another multi!), and music producer.

Sid is Indian-Australian, but was born in London, then raised in Kenya, and then, during his teenage years, lived in Perth. He’s now settled in Perth, which is where he teaches.

Described as a “creative genius” in his official bio — sorry, that’s “overachieving creative genius” — it’s actually not far off. Sid is actually a self-taught professional visual artist (check out his online shop here).

More than that, he was a finalist in The Lester Prize for portraiture in 2020, and has his work exhibited in The Art Gallery of Western Australia — colour us impressed! As for his music work, he’s released his own material as well as working with big names like Meg Mac, Kimbra, M-Phazes and John Legend. Casual.

As you can tell, he’s a highly disciplined guy — something that’s sure to benefit him in the Big Brother house. In addition, he also boasts the fact he’s curious and adaptable, and very even keel when it comes to his emotions. He’s personally looking forward to testing his resilience and mental fortitude while in the house.

Wondering how he’s going to play the game? It doesn’t involve painting, but it does involve smarts. But if Sid’s faced with loud-brash, housemates who are lacking self-awareness — or a bad hair day — that may make him come undone.

And if he manages to snag the cool $250K? He’s doing the smart thing again but investing, but also wants to put some of it towards his wedding to his fiancé Maddy. Aw!
