In a surprise double eviction, fan favourites Sarah Jane Adams and Mary Kalifatidis were sent packing from Big Brother’shouse — or so the housemates thought.
But in a fun twist, as they walked down the corridor, each of the two contestants were met with a staircase that led up to a room. The Attic.
“Mary, I have just surprised you with a double eviction,” Big Brother tells Mary. “But that is not the only surprise you’re getting tonight.
“Big Brother, I hope it’s alcohol,” Mary says after falling to the ground dramatically (we stan).
“Mary, you just received the most votes, but that does not mean you’ve been evicted from my house,” he continued, before revealing the staircase.
Once upstairs, she is greeted by SJ and the “mumma’s celebrate their survival”.
The attic is an old-style room filled with toys, blankets, a fan from the ’40s, snacks and most importantly, an old transistor radio.
During a promo video for Wednesday, May 5 episode, Daniel Hayes, Melissa McGorman and Nick Benton are “feeling on top of the world” and talk about their alliance, saying that they will ensure each of them “go right to the end”. But little did they know, not only are SJ and Mary still here, but they can hear them talking.
“This radio gives you the ability to tune into different conversations,” Big Brother says.
Personally, we couldn’t think of a better place for the two house mums and we’re intrigued to see how it will play out!
Big Brother airs Sunday at 7 pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7.30 pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
