The Bachelorette Australia is Gearing Up for Hometowns and Someone Breaks Brooke’s Heart

Network Ten

The Bachelorette Australia has been one heck of a ride this year. Not only is it the first time in the history of the franchise that the woman fronting the show is Indigenous and bisexual, but the contestants entering the mansion have also been a mix of men and women.

It’s definitely been a refreshing change from the previous seasons, but just like all good things, this too must come to an end. Only six people remain, and similar to previous years, tonight’s episode is the highly anticipated Hometowns, where Brooke meets the families and loved ones of those who have their sights set on her.

Holly, Darvid, Konrad, Kurt, Jamie-Lee and Millie are still in the competition, but after tonight, three will be sent home. Hometowns are one of the most important Bachelor traditions because it’s the moment Brooke and the contestants figure out if they’re truly right for each other.

And after watching the previews, it seems Brooke suffers from a hometown heartbreak.

“Didn’t see it coming,” she says to the camera while wiping away her tears. “This is one of my strongest connections, I feel completely and utterly blind sighted.”

Personally, I’m hoping it’s not Konrad who hurt the 26-year-old because, in my eyes, he deserves to win, but we’re just going to have to wait and see.

The Bachelorette is Brooke’s third attempt at finding love through a reality TV show. We were first introduced to the youth worker on Honey Badger’s season of The Bachelor and then later on Bachelor In Paradise

The Bachelorette Hometowns airs tonight at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10play.
