Yay or Neigh: Could a Beloved Drag Queen Be Inside “The Masked Singer” Cowgirl Costume?

The newest season of “The Masked Singer” already has fans thinking that a Spice Girls reunion is in the works, and it hasn’t even dropped yet. Judging from the pre-premiere previews, Mel B steps out in an iconic Scary Spice outfit and in another episode, a contestant is believed to be Baby Spice aka Emma Bunton. But guess what? It doesn’t stop there.

One costumed contestant, Cowgirl steps onto the stage and performs the girl group’s biggest hit. Could it be another one of the Spice Girls beneath the mask?

Here’s what we noticed in the “The Masked Singer” Cowgirl preview.

“The Masked Singer”‘s Cowgirl Clues

“If you wannabe my lover, you gotta get with my friends,” sings Cowgirl in a trailer for the upcoming season.

Resident Spice Girl judge, Mel B dances along and says, “Cowgirl! You’ve sung it better than all five of us sang it together.”

Fans on the preview’s Facebook post have some ideas on who it could be. From guesses that suggest Aussie comedian, Rebel Wilson is the voice behind the mask to hunches that propose it’s Courtney Act, we know one thing for sure — it’s going to be one hell of a surprise.

Who Is Courtney Act?

Courtney Act served us iconic realness when she first appeared on 2003’s “Australian Idol”. Since then, she’s gone on to compete in “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and almost took home the grand prize. Now, she is considered an advocate and pioneer for LGBTQIA+ performers and communities.
