"The Summer I Turned Pretty" Season 2 Soundtrack

We’re finally back at Cousins Beach, and TBH, we couldn’t be more excited. “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2 finally premiered on Prime Video on July 16, dropping the first three episodes. The popular series is a coming-of-age story about Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) as she spends one magical summer in Cousins Beach with her family, friends, and two brothers she’s got her eyes on. She finds herself caught in a love triangle with Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).

As Season 2 unfolds, the world of Belly and her companions comes alive once again. But as the characters grapple with the aftermath of Susannah’s passing, this summer fills their hearts with both joy and grief. Throughout the season, we see glimpses of the past year, including Belly and Conrad’s relationship, and Susannah’s funeral.

Adapted from Jenny Han’s beloved young adult romance books, this Prime Video series has captured the hearts of fans everywhere. But one of the show’s secret weapons is its carefully curated soundtrack, which sets the perfect tone for the emotional highs and lows of Belly’s journey.

Fans knew they’d be in for a treat when the trailers for the series featured “august” and “Back to December” by Taylor Swift. Season 1 featured multiple songs by the singer, including “That’s What Way I Loved You (Taylor’s Version),” “Lover,” and Swiftie-favourite “Cruel Summer.” The series also features songs by Olivia Rodrigo, The Weeknd, One Direction and Des’ree.
