According to Tung, “Belly’s in such a different headspace than when we left her.” Her relationships with Conrad and Jeremiah are no longer what they used to be. Tung adds, “It was really interesting to just get to see a different side of Belly that we hadn’t seen.”

Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalengo, Sean Kaufman (Steven) and Jackie Chung (Laurel) will reprise their roles. However, Minnie Mills, who portrayed Shayla in the first season, announced her departure from the show. Through an emotional Instagram post, she expressed her gratitude to the fans and her desire to continue Shayla’s story if given the chance. While we’ll miss her character, we can still cherish Shayla’s empowering presence in the first season.

Season two will also feature exciting new additions. Elsie Fisher, from “Eighth Grade,” and Kyra Sedgwick, from “The Closer,” will be joining the cast.
