Timothée Chalamet may be young compared to the seasoned actors and directors he’s gotten to work with over the past few years, but there’s no question he’s got talent in abundance. Though Chalamet has been acting since 2008, he captured audiences’ attention as the love-stricken Elio in his breakout role in 2018’s “Call Me by Your Name.” Since then, he’s hit the ground running, starring in sci-fi hit “Dune” and the historical period drama “The King.”

"Miss Stevens"

“Miss Stevens” is a comedy-drama about a high-school English teacher who chaperones three students at a drama competition over a weekend. "Call Me by Your Name"

Based on the novel of the same name by André Aciman, “Call Me by Your Name” is arguably the film that put Chalamet on everyone’s radar. In his breakthrough role, Chalamet stars as Elio, a 17-year-old who falls in love with Oliver, a doctoral student working with his father against the backdrop of an Italian villa in 1983. The film’s visuals are beautiful and rich, and the soundtrack perfectly captures the intense yet passionate emotions of first love. In this romantic comedy, Chalamet and Elle Fanning are two college sweethearts, Gatsby and Ashleigh, who go to New York City for a romantic weekend. Not only does a rainy day dampen the mood, but so do a series of chance encounters and comical side quests that pull the couple apart from each other. In response to the film’s controversial director, Woody Allen, Chalamet reportedly donated his salary from the movie to organizations such as Time’s Up, RAINN, and the LGBT Center in New York, per Vanity Fair.

“The King” is a moody, dark historical drama about a young Henry V, aka “Hal,” who must deal with betrayal and war upon becoming the king of England in the 15th century.
