2021 Winners Tina and Mitch Will Return to the Villa for Love Island Australia

After winning last year’s season of Love Island Australia and taking home $50,000, Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd are returning to the villa, making history as the first couple to take part on the show twice.

Channel 9 confirmed the two, who called it quits earlier in the year, will arrive at the Villa as Bombs this week for a second chance at love.

However, the response wasn’t exactly what the network was hoping for, with fans of the franchise left feeling confused and underwhelmed. Many questioned why they were getting a second chance, as it was not fair to the other Islanders.

“All the people that would have applied for the show this year and they get Al from MAFS, Vakoo from Bachelor, and they bring back Tina and Mitch from last years’ season?? Like actually what the f*** and why,” tweeted one angry viewer.

“UM WHAT?? Tbh it’s a bit random (that) S3 Mitch and Tina are coming back lmao,” said another.

Speaking on their comeback to Yahoo Lifestyle, Mitch said: “People think you’re crazy doing it once, but doing it twice you’re probably even more crazy. But crazy is right up my alley, so why not?”

Tina then added: “The first time around I thought I was going to be on Love Island for a week, like I ran out of clothes in the first week.

“So to have won it and then get the chance to go back again, I don’t know if they’re crazy for sending me back or I’m crazy for saying yes.”

Regardless of how people feel, the papers have been signed, and the ink is dry. Tina and Mitch are returning to Love Island Australia, but will these former flames be able to reignite their spark? Or will they find companionship elsewhere?
