Sure, singing along to pop music while it plays in the background is easy, but what happens when there's no beat to follow along to and no lyrics to fall back on? Just ask Kesha!
The 32-year-old "Rainbow" singer's knowledge was recently put to the test in a "Lyric Challenge" video with Seventeen, where she was given the name of a song and asked to sing the correct words. Despite saying she'd be bad at this, she totally crushed it. With Lizzo's "Truth Hurts," Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable," Ariana Grande's "God Is a Woman," and many more, Kesha busted out the correct words and the dance moves to go with it.
It's no coincidence that many of the songs chosen in the video are female-empowered anthems by other artists, as she embraces that same energy in her new music. With her single "Raising Hell" released last month, and what we anticipate from her upcoming album High Road, Kesha is putting herself first, and it's reflected in her own music.
