“Bit of Cutthroat Competition”: MasterChef’s Kishwar Makes Fun of Bandaid On Her Neck

Kishwar MasterChef

To say that the competition in the MasterChef Australia kitchen is “cutthroat”, would be an understatement for contestant Kishwar Chowdhury.

During Sunday night’s elimination challenge (which featured all star’s Poh Ling Yeow, Reynold Poernomo and Callum Hann), the mum-of-two sparked some Twitter concern when she was seen wearing a band-aid on her neck.

While we have no definitive answer as to what has actually happened to the talented contestant, she did take to Instagram to poke fun of herself.

“Bit of cut throat competition in the @masterchefau kitchen during Superstars Week!!” she captioned a post which showed off her new accessory.

Never one to miss a beat, fans on Twitter took to the platform showing concern over Chowdhury’s neck.

“Excuse me, why does Kishwar have a giant bandaid on her neck?!’,” one fan wrote before jokingly adding: ‘WHO DO I HAVE TO KILL?”

While another wrote: “Did she burn herself on hair straighteners or something??” (We’ve all been there!)

Fans also took to the comments section of her Instagram post and wished the TV star well.

“Awww. Please do take care of yourself sister. All the best. We are big fan of yours from here Sylhet, Bangladesh,” one person wrote before eliminated contestant Yo Yo Yang commented affectionately: “Oh kishi ❤️,” she wrote.

During Sunday’s elimination challenge, Chowdhury gushed over Ling Yeow after producing a stunning pastry with beef patties that would fit perfectly on the famous chef’s Jamface menu.

“I love Poh. We would watch MasterChef together as a family,” she told the camera. “And Poh coming back in Back To Win was part of the reason that my son asked me to apply.”

“Every time Poh cooks something, it’s delicious and it’s amazing. And it is, to me, the best food ever in that kitchen. Poh! You’re my dream come true.”

So sweet!
