In Case You Missed It, the New Love Island Australia Trailer Is Really Dialling Up the Heat

Channel 9

If you’re spending lockdown binging episodes of Love Island UK, then there’s some good news on the horizon.

After a year off, Love Island Australia is making a comeback.

Aussie icon Sophie Monk will be hosting the reality show, and after watching the trailer, it’s everything that we thought it would be and more.

For one, the show is incredibly … Aussie.

While wearing an Australian flag bikini and a giant mermaid tail, Sophie declares, “There are plenty of fish in this sea.”

The soundtrack was aptly Down Under by Men At Work, and it seems the upcoming cast also made an appearance.

The pandemic has ruined many things and one of them was Love Island Australia.

The show was set to air last year but was cancelled due to COVID-19.

But despite going to air this time around, it’s claimed producers faced a number of setbacks.

According to reality tv podcast So Dramatic! producers apparently had a difficult time getting people to audition.

It was so rough, it’s claimed they walked around Bondi and asked activewear-clad locals if they wanted to take a crack at the show.

But alas, the show is finally set to kick off. Watch the trailer below.
