When the first four episodes of Younger‘s seventh and final season landed on Stan in April, it was like Christmas had come early and, if you’re anything like us at POPSUGAR Australia, you would have devoured all of them in one sitting.
However, we are now coming to terms with the fact that there are not many episodes left in our beloved Darren Star created series and are wondering if we should maybe have savoured each one in order to make the magic last a little longer.
With only 12 episodes in the season, and seven of them already on the streaming platform, it’s an irrefutable fact that only five episodes remain until we must bid farewell to Liza, Kelsey, Maggie, Lauren, Charles and Josh.
That’s right, just five episodes until we learn the fate of Empirical publishing and, finally, who Liza chooses (if anyone) out of Josh and Charles.
So far, the final season has served us up some curveballs by way of Zane and Diana’s absence (damn you, scheduling conflicts!), the introduction of a new love interest for Liza in the form of Kai Manning — played by Aussie actor Matt Passmore — and the blossoming romance between Quinn and Charles in the wake of his split with Liza.
While we are definitely not loving the latter development, we can at least take comfort in the fact that the series still has five episodes in which to get things back on track and give us Younger the ending it deserves.
Younger is now streaming on Stan with new episodes available each Thursday. The final episode will air on June 10th, 2021.
