It’s been another season of glitzy cocktail parties, high drama and whirlwind romances on this season of The Bachelorette Australia.
Our queen Brooke Blurton has been on the lookout for love, and as the franchise’s first bisexual, Indigenous Bachelorette, it’s been a season for the history books!
This has been Brooke’s third stint in the Bachelor universe. She first appeared on Nick “Honey Badger’s” Cummins’ season of The Bachelor, when she decided to bail just two eps before the finale. Widely considered to be one of the season’s frontrunners, it was one of the biggest Bachelor shocks of the season, or at least, until that finale aired.
Next, Brooke had a short stint on Bachelor in Paradise, which proved unfruitful in the romance department.
As our Bachelorette, we’ve been along for the ride as Brooke has pursued love, and this time, it’s been on her terms.
Speaking to POPSUGAR Australia, Brooke opened up about her “amazing” time on the show.
“When the opportunity came, I felt like it was the perfect time in my life to do it,” Brooke said.
“I try not to go in with a lot of expectations with things, I think I did that with The Bachelor and even Bachelor In Paradise,” she mused. ‘This time around I was a little bit more determined and didn’t put too much pressure on myself.
“I just really wanted to throw myself and lean into the experience,” she explained.
“I thoroughly enjoyed it, I loved every moment. Even though I couldn’t have my family there, production became my family. Overall it was amazing.”
As for what she was looking for in a partner, Brooke said that she wanted someone “truly genuine and authentic to themselves”.
“I think that’s a really attractive trait to have and someone who doesn’t try to be someone they’re not,” she said.
As the season comes to an end, we have only two questions. The first, obviously, is “Who will Brooke choose?!”
The second is “When can we watch it?!”
This season of The Bachelorette Australia will conclude on November 25 at 7.30pm, on 10 and 10 Play on Demand. We can’t wait to see who she chooses!
