The Not-So-Successful Bachelors: Where Are They Now?

As we watch The Bachelor year after year, it’s easy to get sucked into the fairytale.

While some Bachelors have been incredibly successful in finding love through the show, others … not so much.

Not everyone can be Tim Robards and Matty J, who married their chosen bachelorette and now share kids with them.

So let’s take a look at the men who weren’t so lucky in love, and where they are now.

Blake Garvey

Ahhhh, the infamous Blake.

Just to refresh your memory, Blake popped the question to Sam Wood on the finale for season two … only to break up with her and date previously eliminated contestant, Louise Pillidge, instead.

Not only was that a douche move, but the country turned on him for breaking Sam’s heart.

It seems Blake has disappeared from the face of the earth, but what we do know, is he broke it off with Louise in 2016. We don’t blame him for wanting to keep a low profile.

Richie Strahan

He wasn’t able to win over Sam Frost on The Bachelorette, so Richie decided to become The Bachelor instead.

The rope technician ended up choosing Alex Nation, which took fans by surprise as they were rooting for Nikki Gogan.

Unfortunately, the two broke up after a year of dating, which they addressed when they came face-to-face on the second season of Bachelor in Paradise.

Richie now resides in Perth and is dating girlfriend Jenayah Thompson.

Nick Cummins

After the Blake Garvey debacle, we honestly didn’t think it was possible for a bachie to be hated more than him.

In comes Nick Cummins, otherwise known as the Honey Badger. For the first time in the history of the series, the rugby union player chose no one.

Yup, you heard that right. He walked away breaking not one, but two hearts on the same day.

Nick is now dating Sydney socialite Alex George, who he was been with since 2020.

Matt Agnew

After Nick’s disastrous season, it wasn’t hard for people to like astrophysicist Matt Agnew.

In season seven, Matt chose chemical engineer Chelsie, making them the perfect match as two brainiacs became one.

Unfortunately, the fairytale didn’t last long, and the two split after just two months.

Matt is currently single and living a fulfilled life with his dog Pluto.

The Bachelor Australia airs at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.
