In Case You Were Wondering, Here’s Where to Watch Pam and Tommy if You’re in Australia
It was the scandal that shook the world in the ’90s and if you don’t remember the impact it had when it happened, Hulu’s new show Pam and Tommy will help you relive the moment. Starring Lily James and Sebastian Stan as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, the show takes viewers behind the scenes of the events leading up to their infamous sex tape, which was stolen from their home and made public while they were on holiday.
At the time, it was the early days of the internet, and the sex tape made a huge impact on how the world used computers and the web.
In 1995, in what could only be described as a whirlwind decision, the former Baywatch star married the drummer of Mötley Crüe after knowing him for a few short days (96 hours to be precise). While the two of them have since gone their own separate ways, they do share two children together: Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee.
The show not only does a phenomenal job at retelling the story (despite dramatising a few scenes), but the transformation Lily underwent to look like Pamela is unbelievable. Other notable names include Seth Rogan and Nick Offerman, who play Rand Gauthier and Milton Owen Ingley.
But you may be wondering where you can tune in to the show, considering Hulu isn’t available in Australia just yet. Well, I’m happy to report that the entire series is currently streaming on Disney+.
In 2021, Lee spoke to Entertainment Tonight and gave his stamp of approval to Stan for playing him. “I know Sebastian, he’s playing me. From what he’s told me, really beautiful story,” he said. “I think a lot of people would think it’s one thing, but it’s really about privacy and how things got crazy then. There’s different laws now.” Lee continued, “The story’s actually cool, what actually happened wasn’t. People need to know [what occurred].”
Anderson on the other hand refused to participate, with sources close to her claiming she’s unhappy about the series.
“The upcoming Pam & Tommy Hulu series has been very painful for Pamela Anderson and for anyone that loves her,” a source told ET. “It is shocking that this series is allowed to happen without her approval.”
Pam and Tommy is available to stream now on Disney+.
