Did Big Brother’s Chris Wayne Just Accidentally Give Away a Blossoming Romance In the House?

It’s another week in the Big Brother house (if you can believe it) and the fifth housemate has been eliminated from the fray.
This time, this season’s resident “naked magician”, Christopher “Chris” Wayne was evicted after resident-game player Daniel Hayes put a huge target on his back.
“I honestly had no idea it would be me,” Chris told POPSUGAR Australia after his elimination. “There had been so many conversations about getting rid of Charlotte [Hall] because she was doing nothing in the house — socially or in the challenges — and she was just cruising through it.”
“Then I caught whisper that Danny and Nick were stacking numbers against me and they identified it as their chance to get out of the house,” he said before adding: “I told Marley [Biyendolo] that it was going to be between one or two votes and I said, ‘I think I’m in trouble here’. If I could cry on cue, I’d probably still be in the house.”
During his audition, Chris went in with the intention of being himself which meant being direct and telling it like it is.
“I let people know how I feel about them,” the 37-year-old admitted. “I won the challenge in the audition. I had to pick three people and I turned around to this woman and I’m like, “I wouldn’t even waste a vote on you because you wouldn’t last a week in the house.”
He continued: “I want people to know, good or bad, how I feel about them, so that was the kind of the thing I had to make a decision between. Do I be that guy I promised the producers and why they picked me in the first place, or do I stay true to myself and let old mate [Daniel] know how I felt.”
Being in the confines of a house for a few weeks, there’s no denying that anyone who is single may start to have feelings for others and Chris accidentally let slip about a love quadrangle that formed in the house.
“When we first went in there, Michael [Brown] and I both had a crush on Christina [Podolyan] but Christina had a crush on Marley and it was so apparent that she had a thing for him.
“On the first night, I went into the diary room. I’d been on a plane for 24 hours. I was constipated, I was sick, I had a headache and I went in and was like, ‘Is Christina single, bro?’ And then I literally came out and Michael, who I just love like a brother, his eyes lip up and was a smitten kitten and I’m like, ‘I can’t do that to my brother’. But then the way she was talking to Marley, I was like, ‘It doesn’t matter anyway’. Frankly, I would choose Marley out of the three of us too.” Juicy!
When probed if this was a romance to watch out for, Chris said: “I’m not going to give away anything.” While we obviously would love to see some romance between the housemates, we’ll just have to settle for the beautiful blossoming friendship between the 26-year-old and Sarah-Jane Adams, because unfortunately for Christina, the basketballer has a long-time girlfriend in the US.
During his stint in the house, we barely saw anything from Chris, who is a comedian magician by trade. More notably, not only did we not see much of his gameplay, but we also missed out on seeing some cool magic in the house.
“I obviously would have loved to have done some magic in the house,” he said. “I kind of went in planning to make that one of my weapons because it is a social tool which you can do in any situation but I got it taken away from me.”
“They told me to bring all my magic tricks and so I did and just before I went in there, they were like, ‘Hey, Big Brother’s going to take your magic and I’ll let you know when it’s time to do a show. So, I guess that was planned for later on.”
Big Brother continues Sunday at 7 pm and Monday to Wednesday 7.30 pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
