“Shooting Stars” Actor Caleb McLaughlin Actually Got His Start in a Disney Broadway Fave

Caleb McLaughlin first came to fame with his scene-stealing role as Lucas on “Stranger Things,” and since then, his star has risen steadily. He appeared as Ricky Bell on BET’s “The New Edition Story,” Darius in “High Flying Bird,” Cole in Netflix’s “Concrete Cowboy,” and – most recently – as Dru Joyce III in the movie adaptation of Lebron James’s story, “Shooting Stars.”

With “Concrete Cowboy,” McLaughlin proved he can carry his own beside heavy hitters like Idris Elba, while in “Shooting Stars,” which premiered on Peacock on June 2, the 21-year-old shows he’s taking on Hollywood.
