We Reckon We Know Who’s Going to Be Crowned the Winner on Australian Survivor: Blood vs Water
We’re halfway through Australian Survivor: Blood vs Water and we’re starting to wonder who’s going to be crowned Sole Survivor. So much has happened this year. Not only did we see the queen of the franchise, Sandra Diaz-Twine, return, but there have been so many betrayals we’ve lost count.
With only seven contestants left, we’re definitely getting closer to the finish line, and the competition is tougher than ever.
While there’s no way to know for sure who wins before the finale airs, we can try and make some predictions. Popular betting website Sportsbet may not be known for its reality TV content, but they’re usually on the money about who takes home the prize.
Last year, the gambling site predicted Survivor’s most recent winner, Hayley Leake, weeks before she was crowned. They’ve also correctly guessed the last person standing for SAS Australia, The Masked Singer, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. So you could say they have a solid track record.
Now, here’s where we tell you to look away if you want to avoid potential spoilers. Currently, Survivor alum Mark Wales is expected to come first place, with odds at 1.22. But while he’s been sitting at the top comfortably for weeks now, those expected to come second and third have been changing constantly.
Shay Lajoie was sitting in second place for quite a while but was knocked down by fan-favourite Chrissy Zaremba, who came into the game with very little experience. But it’s her quiet nature that’s helped her slip under the radar and make it this far into the competition.
However, Shay has reclaimed her position and is once again expected to come runner-up, with odds at 11.00.
While none of the above can truly tell us who will win, it’s still a fun game to play before the grand finale airs.
