Chad Michael Murray Joins Growing List of Teen Heartthrobs Who Have Played Serial Killers

“Austin Ames with the lady. A devastating blow! A worthy opponent.” Noughties heartthrob and general teenage dream Austin Ames — wait, we mean Chad Michael Murray — is playing serial killer Ted Bundy in an upcoming biopic.

However, unlike the most recent portrayal of Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, where the movie focused upon the Bundy of it all, this movie, entitled American Boogeyman focuses on the detectives who caught him — Kathleen McChesney, and Robert Ressler. Ressler was one of two men who coined the term “serial killer”.
