Here's What Day Black Panther Will Finally Be Available to Stream on Disney+

Disney+ has given us everything we could ask for in a streaming platform, from classic animations to beloved Pixar movies. Almost all the Marvel Universe films are available to stream as well, but one important superhero movie still seems to be missing: Black Panther. Luckily, we have an answer regarding its whereabouts, and it’s both good and bad.

Disney has announced that Black Panther will be available to stream on March 4. The Disney+ platform teases us a bit, because when you search for the movie, it does pop up and looks available to stream. But instead of a play button, there’s a message on the webpage that says it’s unavailable due to existing agreements (probably with Netflix, where it is currently streaming until March 3).

You can add the movie to your watchlist so that once it becomes available, it will show up on your homepage. And given Black Panther‘s mega-success when it was released in 2018, we can only assume its popularity will continue among the millions of Disney+ subscribers. The story follows young King T’Challa, who is challenged with saving his homeland of Wakanda from a ruthless enemy. The film became a cultural phenomenon and marked a major milestone in Hollywood, featuring a predominantly Black cast. It’s the first blockbuster superhero film of its kind for Marvel and a positive sign that people of diverse identities are making lasting marks on film media.

For those really in need of a Marvel Studios binge session, there are still a lot of options. Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, and Guardians of the Galaxy are among the many Marvel films currently available on Disney+. In the meantime, we’ll continue watching the rest of Disney’s catalogue and count down the days until Black Panther will be on Disney+.
