Ryan Reynolds Wearing Bracelets Made by His Kids Is Just So Sweet

Ryan Reynolds accessorised with sentimental jewellery for his “Jimmy Kimmel Live” appearance on Aug. 9. The “Deadpool” actor proudly wore beaded bracelets made by his daughters as he and guest host Rob McElhenney discussed Wrexham AFC, the Welsh soccer team they own together. He piled on several handmade creations with his Apple Watch: one with sparkly green and clear beads that spell out “DAD,” one with pink smiley-face beads, and one with a rainbow assortment. The colourful stack popped against his outfit, consisting of otherwise muted tones in the form of a grey suit, white button-down, and black tie.

Reynolds has been spotted wearing the same bracelets for several other outings this summer, including Wrexham soccer games, a Cannes Lions event, and the premiere of Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well: The Short Film.” Beyond being a sweet way to keep his kids close amid a busy schedule, Reynolds’s accessories also play into the “kidcore” fashion aesthetic, characterized by bold colours, fun prints, and nostalgic jewellery.

Reynolds shares three daughters with wife Blake Lively – 7-year-old James, 5-year-old Inez, and 2-year-old Betty – and the beaded bracelets are likely the result of an afternoon DIY project at home. Perhaps they made one for Lively that reads “MOM” to match?

Seeing as Reynolds’s wardrobe mostly consists of neutrals (think: navy jackets, grey pinstripe suits, and white tees), the pop of colour from his bracelets is a welcome style switch-up for the star, whether he’s on or off duty.

Read ahead to take a closer look at Reynolds showing off his kids’ handiwork on several different occasions.
