Meet the Stars of the Latest “Power” Universe Spinoff
After two years of waiting, the most anticipated spinoff from the “Power” Universe will finally make its debut on Feb. 6. “Power Book IV: Force” is the fourth instalment of the wildly popular Starz franchise, picking back up on the story of Joseph Sikora’s cutthroat character, Tommy Egan. In the new series, Tommy leaves his past behind in New York City to embark on a new action-packed journey to become Chicago’s biggest drug dealer.
“We’re all huge ‘Power’ fans.”
“Power Book IV: Force” continues the drama from the conclusion of “Power”‘s sixth and final season, as well as “Power Book II: Ghost”‘s season one finale. Though Tommy may be the only familiar face to appear in the new show, the new cast members are as eager as ever to carry on the franchise’s legacy.
“We’re all huge ‘Power’ fans,” Gabrielle Ryan (who plays Gloria) tells POPSUGAR. “What 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp have created with the ‘Power’ Universe is just incredible, and it’s this cultural phenomenon that I think we’re all just so thrilled to be a part of.” “Power Book IV: Force” is full of talented actors ready to help tell Tommy’s story, so read ahead to get better acquainted with all the cast members.
Joesph Sikora as Tommy Egan
Joseph Sikora helms “Power Book IV: Force” as trigger-happy troublemaker Tommy Egan. The “Power” veteran will be reprising his same role from the original series, only this time, he’s putting New York City in his rearview mirror for good to start a new chapter in Chicago.
Gabrielle Ryan as Gloria
Ryan takes on the role of Gloria, described as a “razor-sharp and stunning former Marine” looking to create her own path in Chicago. She owns a bar where she pumps out Michelin-level, Jamaican-inspired dishes, and has dreams of one day owning her own restaurant. But a group of Irish mobsters looking to move in on her territory could threaten that. Her chance encounter with Tommy will soon unravel her world, which only she can take control of.
Lili Simmons as Claudia "Claud" Flynn
Simmons plays Claudia “Claud” Flynn, otherwise known as the only daughter to the largest kingpin in all of Chicago. She has a mix of book and street smarts that make her brilliant as a politician and ruthless as a criminal. Working in such a men-dominated business, Claudia has no choice but to carve out a place for herself – one that could possibly save her family.
Shane Harper as Vic Flynn
“Hightown” alum Shane Harper will portray Vic Flynn, the heir apparent to his family’s business who leads with his heart just as much as his fists. Though his father has positioned him to be the next in line to take charge, Vic resents that his whole life has been mapped out for him – down to the woman he’s meant to be with. And when Tommy rolls into town and starts rubbing elbows with Vic’s father, he’ll have to fight to keep his rightful place by any means necessary.
Tommy Flanagan as Walter Flynn
Flanagan portrays Walter Flynn, head of the baddest Irish crime family in Chicago. Walter holds his family values very close to his heart, and his codes of honor and tradition carry over to every aspect of his life. As he tries to keep up with the times, Walter finds the criminal organisation he built facing threats he never thought it’d ever encounter.
Kris D. Lofton as Jenard Sampson
Lofton plays Jenard Sampson, a college-student-turned-street-hustler who takes over one of Chicago’s largest crews after his older brother, Diamond, gets sentenced to 15 years in prison. He’s enjoyed the benefits that come with Diamond being his brother and keeper, so he rules with an iron fist, similar to that of a CEO, and will end anybody that gets in his way.
Isaac Keys as Diamond
Keys portrays gentle giant Diamond, who’s fresh out of prison after serving a 15-year sentence. Before getting locked up, Diamond was one of the leaders of Chicago’s most promising crew that was just taking over the city. After spending time on the inside reading and educating himself on everything from history to philosophy, he hopes to take back control of his organisation from his younger brother, Jenard.
Anthony Fleming III as JP Gibbs
Fleming portrays gifted jazz musician JP Gibbs, a well-traveled artist who’s developed a rich worldliness that shines through in his swag and demeanor. JP owns and operates a blues club with his sick father, who’s been the target of several attacks by local gang members. While grappling with his own family issues, JP’s world is turned upside when he crosses paths with Tommy.
