She hasn’t given birth yet, but Da Brat recently announced her pregnancy at 48 years old. The “Funkdafied” singer told People in an interview published Feb. 21 that she and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, are expecting their first child together. “It’s been quite a journey,” Da Brat said, “there’s a lot of stuff we learned about women over the age of 40.”

Gwen Stefani was 44 years old when she welcomed her youngest son, Apollo Bowie Flynn, to her growing brood of boys with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. She was already mom to Kingston and Zuma, who were both born when she was in her 30s.

For comedian and actress Tina Fey, the decision to have another baby after welcoming daughter Alice Zenobia in 2005 wasn’t an easy one. In her memoir “Bossypants”, Fey explained her trepidation, writing, “Science shows that fertility and movie offers drop off steeply for women after 40.”

Fey gave birth to baby number two, daughter Penelope Athena, in 2011, at the age of 41.

Susan Sarandon gave birth to her first child, daughter Eva Amurri, in 1985 at the age of 39. She then went on to welcome sons Jack Henry and Miles Guthrie at age 42 and 45, respectively.

Already mom to two daughters and a son, Meryl Streep gave birth to her fourth child, Louisa Jacobson Gummer, on June 12, 1991, just before her 42nd birthday.
