2012 MBFWA: Kirrily Johnston
Showing off-site has become a ritual for Kirrily Johnston, and this year's presentation held at bustling new Sydney restaurant Neild Ave was no exception, with the industrial interior setting the perfect mood for the cool-girl collection. The designer's signature earthy accents were evident in neutral separates and bloom-print pants, skirts and swimwear, while sexy silhouettes stole the show in pops of magenta pink and golden chartreuse. This is clothing that works double time: sweet enough for day and seriously sizzling after dark.
- Colours: White, black, neutral, magenta and chartreuse.
- Trends: Oversized floral prints, skin-tight brights, drapey cowl-necks and exposed gold zips.
- Key Looks: Second-skin silhouettes in the form of skinny pants and slinky dresses.
- Accessories: Signature Kirrily Johnston wedged heels in pink and tan, 2 strap heels with chain detailing, pink suede carry-alls, agate-style statement earrings.
