Simone Rocha Spring 2014
If pearls as an embellishment seem too delicate for your taste, Simone Rocha's studded Spring 2014 collection may have you thinking again. Accenting everything from collars to satin sandals, pocket trims, and even cheeky, sheer knee-highs, the cream gemstones have never looked so cool as when applied to these runway designs.
The contradiction between those pretty extras and tattered hems was exactly what the designer, who dubbed her West Ireland-inspired collection "'Tis Killing Warm," wanted to draw the eye to. Balancing menswear with feminine details, hard and wet lace with soft hand-crocheted cotton, and mossy green with pure white, the designer said: "Think of the sea, think of you and me."
