Alberta Ferretti Milan Fashion Week
2010 Milan Fashion Week: Alberta Ferretti
Alberta Ferretti didn't stray from her romantic style for Autumn/Winter '10, sticking to her trusty chiffon dresses, muted palette and embellished trims in Milan. There's good reason why celebs rely on Ferretti come awards season — her delicate gowns are light as a feather and possess a classic style which will look just as good on the red carpet in five years time as they do now.
Although this collection isn't particularly groundbreaking, her timeless designs have to be applauded. Pleated dresses with sheer sleeves and cascading crystal detailing sat comfortably next to more dramatic tulle evening styles and satin ruffled gowns. Flapper dresses were given a Ferretti touch with blush tones and jewelled shoulders, and heavy coats made the perfect evening cover-ups in simple cream wool trimmed with mink. This collection is definitely a pleasant distraction from all the rigid shapes we've seen lately. To fall in love with all the romance, view our gallery.
