Alice McCall's First NYFW Show Exceeded All Expectations, and Then Some
Alice McCall showed on schedule at New York Fashion Week over the weekend for the first time ever. One of Australia's most talented and loved designers, we had high expectations for her Winter 2018 runway presentation and she way exceeded them.
The collection oozed that rock 'n' roll glamour vibe we've started to rely on Alice for. Twin sets, jumpsuits and scalloped skirts were key and came in dusty pastel colours. Burnt-out velvet and adornments like ruffles and pom-poms brought that iconic playful nature to each piece.
Alice summed the collection up perfectly when she described the woman she had in mind while designing it, "She's a lady with her feminine beguiles and an inner strength, prepping for the world in a double-breasted blazer with buttons studded with crystals."
If Alice wasn't on the women of New York's radar, she is now.
