We Love Every Piece in Alice McCall's Fashion Week Collection
It's no secret that Alice McCall's show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia was one of the highlights in our schedule this year. Weeks later, we still remember the shredded white paper fluttering from the roof, eerie broken sculptures suspended from the ceiling and, above all, the soft spectrum of pastel clothes sashaying through the dream-like show set.
While the Cruise 2014/2015 collection won't be available for pre-order until September, we can't help but torture ourselves by poring over the just-released look book. Standout silhouettes include sweetheart rompers and jumbo scalloped skirts, as well as sculpted neoprene dresses and minimalist fluted neon skirts cut elegantly at the ankle.
If a piece in this collection isn't pastel, it's likely to be printed, with digitally-printed bomber jackets, paper-bag trousers, futuristic sweaters and envelope clutches splashed with crisp figures of goddesses, pryamids, serpents, and bejewelled hands swirl through cosmic skies.
The Australian designer label has also just announced an eyewear collaboration with Cast, which will include an exclusive line of handmade frames.
