Ok peeps! We’ve just finished up at the showing for Zara’s first flagship store (did you catch our Facebook and Twitter updates?), and had to share this with you; the range is AMAZING — dramatic caps necessary. From the leather red trousers, to the trés chic Zara employees (we’ve never seen better dressed sales assistants), to minimalist leather sleeved coats, to the amazing range of shoes, bags, scarves, hats; we think we’ve found our new home. Here are five fast facts you didn’t already know about the newest recruit to the Australian retail scene:
Brand spanking new product will be delivered in store on Tuesday and Fridays.
Zara has commissioned a specially designed men’s overnighter bag, wallet and brogues to celebrate its Australian debut. There’s a limited range of 25, so be quick.
It takes three weeks for Zara H/O to turn a catwalk trend into reality on the racks. Now that’s fast fashion!
They won’t re-cut a design, even if it’s popular. Great news for the stylistas who are scared of running into their fashion clones at Rosemont Australian Fashion Week.
Zara has a team of designers working on Australian only product in their Spanish HQ. After analysing the climate and our local trends, product is designed with our specific retail market in mind. Leopard print, slim line trousers and limited edition accessories (see above) will mix it with the same pieces you’d find on the shelves in Paris, London or Singapore.
Step inside for your personal tour of the first Aussie Zara. Doors of the Pitt St Sydney store open to the public at 9am tomorrow morning.
